Privacy at Aider
Aider is an AI-powered conversational support product designed for adults. This page explains what information Aider uses and how it supports your conversations.
What Aider stores
Aider may store your account information, such as your email address; conversations you have with Aider; information you deliberately provide in About Me; Things to Remember that you specifically choose to save; optional before-and-after feeling check-ins; and your acknowledgment of the private-beta notice.
Everything in About Me, Things to Remember, and feeling check-ins is optional.
Supabase
Supabase provides Aider’s authentication and database infrastructure. It is used to keep users signed in and store Aider account information, conversations, About Me information, Things to Remember, feeling check-ins, onboarding status, and beta acknowledgments.
Aider uses access controls and Row Level Security so authenticated users can access only the records associated with their own accounts.
Anthropic and Claude
Aider is AI-powered by Anthropic’s Claude API.
When you send a message, relevant conversation history, About Me information, and saved Things to Remember may be sent to Claude so Aider can generate a useful and personalized response.
Anthropic states that commercial and API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default.
Under Anthropic’s standard API retention practices, inputs and outputs are generally deleted from Anthropic’s backend systems within 30 days, subject to applicable exceptions such as legal requirements or enforcement of its usage policies.
How long Aider stores information
Aider stores your saved information until you delete it or request deletion of your account, unless a different retention policy is established and communicated later.
Deleting information from Aider does not necessarily remove information immediately from temporary provider backups, security records, or API retention systems.
Information about other people
Conversations sometimes involve partners, children, relatives, friends, or coworkers. Please avoid sharing unnecessary identifying or highly sensitive information about other people, particularly children.
Share only what is reasonably necessary for the support you want from Aider.
Selling personal information
Aider does not sell users’ personal conversation data.
Adults only
Aider is intended for adults 18 and older.
